Sc2 beta keys contest on starcraft replay
Win 3 Starcraft 2 Beta Keys on starcraft-replay.com
We've got 3 spare SC2 Beta Keys to share with you! The contest rules are very simple.
CONTEST RULES
1. Date
Contest start:
- Tuesday 23rd March
Contest end:
- Tuesday 30th march at midnight PDT.
- Los Angeles Time: Tuesday 30th March at 0:00 AM PDT
- New York: Wednesday 31st March at 3 A.M EDT
- Paris: Wednesday 31st March at 8 A.M GMT+1
2. Rules
- It's quite simple really. The top 3 rankers on starcraft-replay.com at the end of the contest will get a SC2 Beta Key each.
Note: Jame, Ashram and Tyrion are all part of the starcraft-replay staff, and are not eligible for Beta Keys. So don't let this discourage you! All you have to do is rank above everyone besides us three ;)
HOW TO CLIMB UP THE RANKINGS?
You just have to gain experience and level up on starcraft-replay.com. Here's a guide on Gaining XP on starcraft-replay!
HOW DO I GAIN XP IF I'M NOT IN THE SC2 BETA?
You can find great SC2 Replays, watch them and upload them here even without SC2 Beta access.
1. Here's a guide on How to Watch Starcraft 2 Replays without beta access
2. There are many places where you can find great replays from top players. Here is a couple of examples:
- TeamLiquid - There's a thread on TeamLiquid where many top players are posting replays everyday. I suggest starting from page 44, because we've already checked the previous pages.
- Zota Cups Replay packs - I've put up a lot of replays from the first 3 ZOTA SC2 Beta Cups on our Starcraft 2 Tournament Discussions Forums. I haven't looked through them yet, and I'm sure there are many very good replays in there.
- There are many other places where you can look. Many pro players got a twitter account or a blog where they share replays for example. Just Google it ;)
Comments
You can post useful/funny comments under replays and guides, which can bring you additionnal XP if people rate your comments up.
Guides
Even if you don't have beta access, you can still write certain type of guides if you watch a lot of replays from top players and have good analysis skills. You can for example find very effective build orders and write a guide out of it.
TIPS
- When uploading a replay, make sure to add a description. Don't spoil the game, but at least try to explain why this replay is worth watching. It doesn't take much time but it doubles the chance that people will actually download, watch and rate your replay.
- Quality > Quantity. That's how our XP system works. If you upload just 1 awesome replay and it gets many positive ratings, you will earn more XP than if you uploaded 20 "Okay" replays.

Telecom, as James said there : how to gain xp guide
"The amount of experience given for uploading a replay depends on the replay's rating and the amount of votes."
The number of files you upload don't give any xp I guess.

Just a heads up guys.
We're monitoring the ratings on every replays/guides/comments. So if we notice that someone with the same IP Address is creating many accounts just to rate his own posts up, it will result in a disqualification from the contest.
I'm not saying anyone is doing it at the moment, I'm just giving a fair warning to prevent any misunderstandings.
We want this contest to be fair and to be based on the quality of the contributions.
Cheers :)
